This is a work inspired by Street Art all around the world, both women and men. The individuals that explore there emotions through this expressive movement have been researched and the aim was to get the movement
into the gallery. To get the artists wall on to a ceramics aerosol can, the touch of the individual and the stroke of the artists hand. Each can, is an expression and form of exploration of the ceramic medium. Which is evident through texture; experimentation; slip; form and movement, as well as there final placement.

The Sydney Street art and graffiti scene is exciting, Especially scoping around Newtown/Sydney CBD spotting little funky characters here and there. This has had a major influence on this particular art
work. Artists from around the world were researched.

Inspiration was drawn from many artists; such as:
Os Gemeos (São Paulo, Brazil), Fafi (http://www.fafi.net/), Nick Walker (English graffiti artist)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwfoCaLQ2cM, Various (Germany), Venus, Faith41, Aaya Deren, Miss Riel (Copenhagen), Mofi (Greece), Megas (Melbourne, Aus), Alettetia (means TRUTH in Ancient Greek), Heraclitus ‘ A means of confrontation... A dialogue and escape from her own small world.. Hopes and Fears of mankind.. Reflection, Meditation and invention’. EGR ‘What I would like to express with my art is the endless possibilities of ideas that we can all share, learn and grow from. I would like to strike a chord within mass consciousness, to lift our minds higher, beyond prejudices or misconceptions. I would like to communicate on a positive level for women, and to surpass any expectations or limitations the world may put on us.’ Hera (Greek mythology; The highest ranking Goddess in Olympus, was taken by a ride for Zeus and then became jealous and violent.), Ralp Stedmon, Graffiti Knitters! (New York), And of coarse Banksy. http://www.banksy.co.uk/ http://www.knittaplease.com/
